Tata Steel wins early support for covenant waiver on Corus debt
Lenders welcomed proposals by Tata Steel UK this week to waive covenants on over £3bn of debt in return for a £500m one-off equity injection from its Indian parent, in a sign that the highly leveraged steelmaker may be able to avoid breaching the terms of its loans.
