Bharti saves relationships with loan prepay as syndication flops
Bharti Airtel is planning to pay back about $895m of a pre-funded $7.5bn acquisition financing after a lacklustre syndication left the underwriters holding more than they wanted. Eleven banks underwrote the deal, and were left holding $6.545bn after two months of syndication.
