Etisalat pushes Nigerian banks on dollars

Nigerian banks are under renewed pressure to increase their dollar funds through syndicated loans after Etisalat Nigeria signed a $1.2bn-equivalent loan from 13 domestic banks. As Nigerian corporates increasingly demand dollars from their lenders, banks are having to increase their own dollar borrowings.
