Haitong closes asset swap CB as bankers predict revival
Haitong International Securities Group priced its debut convertible bond on Tuesday in a week when six deals were priced globally. Bankers put down the success of Haitong’s HK$776m ($100m) five year non-put three deal to the inclusion of an asset swap and a letter of support from the parent — thought to be a first in the Asian market, writes Lorraine Cushnie.
