  • China Merchants Bank printed its inaugural dim sum bond on Thursday night, issuing a Rmb1bn ($162m) three year issue that was more than five times subscribed.
  • Deutsche Bank and Nordea this week exploited the continuing strong demand for European bank paper in the US as Yankee FIG issuance recorded its biggest month in more than three years.
  • UniCredit sailed to success with a three year floating rate deal on Thursday, reaffirming the strength of demand from investors for Italian financial paper. Even investors that normally stick to fixed rate paper were lured into the deal by the prospect of picking up Italian risk.
