Please beer with me
A good friend of mine recently invited me on a "business trip" to review a prospective client’s operations, conveniently located in one of southeast Asia’s most picturesque countries.
Not one to turn down a free outing, I was even more eager when told the client was an up and coming beer producer. What better way to see if they were worth their salt than to taste their products?
Owing to my age and experience, I was invited to try first. A few glugs in and I knew this is where I would be putting my money, if I were still in the business.
The beer tasted like the finest ones I’d had in Bavaria, and the company had clearly invested in importing authentic ingredients from the region — an observation I shared with my friend.
It appears he wasn’t the only one listening, because the issuer’s fundraising went off without a hitch. Sometimes it pays to put your money where your mouth is.
