BROKING: Why the big brokers have mergers on their minds

Korea's securities industry stands to be up-ended by the forthcoming Capital Markets Consolidation Act. As its name suggests, it aims to break down the walls between businesses to spur mergers and acquisitions and create globally competitive investment banks. The biggest brokers are the most likely buyers, but they're still not prepared to admit it. Pamela Tang reports.
