The other Indian share auction: Godrej taps primary route

Godrej Properties will launch an up-to Rs4.614bn ($91.3m) follow on offering on Thursday. It is the first time any Indian company has attempted to use the newly-created institutional placement programme (IPP), which bankers hope will work better than a one-day auction process that has so far been of limited help to selling shareholders.
