Irish funding head Whelan to retire as O’Connor takes reins

Oliver Whelan will hand over the reins of managing Ireland’s funding programme in the autumn, when he will retire after more than a decade in charge of the country’s bond issuance.

Frank O’Connor, deputy director in the funding and debt management, will step up to take Whelan’s director position.
