Credit Suisse makes Varvel investment bank chief

Eric Varvel was confirmed as chief executive of Credit Suisse investment bank on Thursday. Paul Calello, former CEO, becomes chairman. Varvel had been acting CEO.

Fawzi Kyriakos-Saad, chief executive of Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Turkey, becomes CEO of EMEA, succeeding Varvel.

Antonio Quintella will become CEO of Americas, succeeding Rob Shafir, who held the job alongside his job as CEO of Credit Suisse Asset Management. Shafir will continue at CSAM.
