BarCap raids Morgan Stanley for more ECM, broking talent
Barclays Capital has taken a further step in its ambitions to build an equity capital markets business with the hire of Alisdair Gayne to head its UK corporate broking division.
Gayne will start at BarCap in November, after three months gardening leave, from Morgan Stanley, where he was also responsible for corporate broking. He joined Morgan Stanley from Credit Suisse as a managing director in 2004 together with Alastair Cochran to build the US banks broking business.
