Commerzbank third quarter disappoints

Commerzbank’s net profit for the third quarter remained below analysts’ expectations, but at Eu113m the result still marked a vast improvement on the Eu1.055bn loss the bank incurred in the same quarter last year.

The bank earned less in the third quarter 2010 than it did in the second quarter, when its net profits stood at Eu352m, but expects that net profits will reach around Eu1bn for 2010 as a whole.
