Apax’s Orange goes ‘all bond’, takes dividend

Orange Switzerland came back to the European high yield market this week to replace its loans with bonds.

The telecoms company, owned by Apax Partners, sold Sfr180m of senior secured floating rate notes on Tuesday. It will use the proceeds, together with Sfr20m of cash, to repay its entire term loan ‘A’. Apax will also use around Sfr70m-Sfr90m to pay itself a dividend.
