Simon unloads £200m in UK property developers

Simon Property Group, the US’s largest real estate investment trust, sold £201.5m of UK-listed property developers through accelerated bookbuilds on Wednesday night.

The company sold a £87.5m Capital & Counties (CapCo) stake, and £114m of Capital Shopping Centres (CSC) shares, its full ownership of both firms.

Both firms are dual listed in London and Johannesburg.

UBS was bookrunner for the CapCo trade, and Barclays Capital was bookrunner on the CSC deal.
