Croatia hires for first sovereign bond since 2011

The Republic of Croatia has hired Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan for an international dollar denominated bond issue.

It last printed a deal in March 2011 — a $1.5bn 6.325% 2021 — via Barclays, Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan. At the end of that year, though, the country’s five year CDS spiked to 585bp as the sell-off in EM bonds hit Croatia hard.
