Back to basics — UniCredit keeps it simple

Jean-Pierre Mustier, the head of UniCredit's corporate and investment bank, has seen plenty of turmoil during his banking career. Having started in the derivatives operations of Société Générale in the late 1980s, he rose to head the firm's corporate and investment bank from 2003 to 2009, managing the fallout from the Jerome Kerviel affair along the way. Now heading CIB at UniCredit, where he has been since 2011, he spoke to EuroWeek's Mark Baker about his vision for the future of the banking industry.
