State bank joins Air Europa crisis loan

Spain’s Air Europa Lineas Aereas has signed a Covid-19 related crisis loan, becoming the third airline from the country in the last month to get support in the syndicated loan market from the state owned Instituto de Crédito Oficial.

Air Europa, Spain’s third largest carrier, has signed a €138m five year term loan from local lenders.

Bankia and Santander were the bookrunners. The banks were joined by CaixaBank, Cajas Rurales Unidas, Liberbank, Unicaja and Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO).
