The London Stock Exchange Group has bolstered its M&A defence team against a hostile bid from its Hong Kong rival with the appointment of JP Morgan.
JP Morgan, which has worked with the London Stock Exchange Group in the past, including advising it on its abortive merger with Deutsche Börse in 2016, is the first bank to be added to the group's advisory roster since it received an unsolicited £32bn approach from Hong Kong
