Aramco and Total plot $9bn complex

Saudi Aramco and oil major Total on Monday signed an engineering and design contract to build a $9bn petrochemical complex on Saudi Arabia’s east coast.

The project will be built next to the Aramco and Total-owned SATORP refinery in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

It will include a mixed-feed cracker, which is the first of its kind in the Gulf to be integrated with a refinery.
