Templeton boosts Desai to C-suite role

Franklin Templeton, the California-based fixed income investment firm, has promoted Sonal Desai to chief investment officer.

Desai will join the executive team of the company on January 1 and will replace Chris Molumphy, who is retiring at the end of this year. 

Molumphy served as chief investment officer for the last 18 years and steps down after 30 years with the firm.
