MiFID paves the way for machine learning

A tidal wave of compliance projects may not be the only outcome of MiFID II — the new regulations due to come into force on January 3 may push fixed income markets towards technological advance.

Come January 3, a deluge of data from fixed income trading will pour out into the market, as a result of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive ll (MiFID II), and traders are working on strategies to take advantage of the opportunities that clarity will deliver.
