Corporate restructuring — in all its various shapes and forms — was the big theme for 2002. Partly it meant judging what would be the most acceptable levels of debt. Partly it was looking at ways of moving beyond a liquidity crisis to safer waters. Certainly some of the corporate turnarounds of the year have been astonishing, reports Phil Moore.
