ECB lays out macro-prudential supervision
The ECB’s June 2010 Financial Stability Review gives new detail on how macro-prudential supervision could work in the EU. The review sketches out a new model of systemic stress, cautions against applying the Volcker rule in Europe, and gives suggestions on how contagion risks, early warning indicators and macro stress-testing could be used by macro-prudential supervisors.
