UniCredit raises hybrid heat but pricing dispute cools investors

Despite disputes over pricing and performance, UniCredit’s Eu500m perpetual this week offered a potential template for other hybrid bank capital issuers. Putting in demanding writedown triggers helped the non-call 10 year tier one hybrid factor in the upcoming Capital Requirement Directive (CRD2).
