But it hung on, embarking on a radical restructuring that saw it pull out of many areas and rein in its provision of capital. Now the firm is back and vying for business, nowhere more so than in its European banking business, run by James Bardrick and Manolo Falcó. They spoke to Mark Baker about the cultural change that the firm has undergone and the challenges it still faces.
