Pieces in place, but Polish ECM on brink
Poland should be a bright spot for European equity capital markets in late 2013 with markets back on the rise, large IPOs getting mandated and the economy performing better than some of its peers. But instead, a pessimistic domestic market is waiting anxiously to find out whether the government will shut down the country’s private pension funds, potentially putting ECM deal activity on indefinite hold.
