European issuers flex their muscles in dollars
A pair of European borrowers on Thursday afternoon put to bed any concerns that the threat of a rudderless Italy might affect their dollar issuance prospects. Council of Europe got a five year global away through secondaries, while Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations hooked in more than $1.7bn of orders for a three year Reg S trade.
