EU flies but euro market holds out for a hero
The European Union priced a €1.8bn 26 year deal as SSA Markets went to press, in what is the first benchmark-sized syndicated euro deal since turbulent trading and reluctant issuers called a halt to issuance over Easter. However, the deal’s niche nature means that Spanish auctions on Thursday will prove a better test of the health of the SSA market.
