IPOs are back in Malaysia but not with a bang

Malaysia’s IPO market has finally sparked into life. First came the MR732m ($227m) spin-off of Berjaya Retail’s 7-Eleven unit this month. Now there are two more IPOs worth a combined $624m scheduled to price next month. But while the uptick in activity is encouraging, suggestions that Malaysia is primed for a second half comeback are premature, writes Rev Hui.
