James Chen joined CTBC Bank in 1999 from ABN Amro Taipei, where he had been a senior executive for institutional banking. Between 1999 and 2007 he held various management positions in institutional banking, before becoming chief executive of the department and then being promoted to be CTBC’s president in 2011. He offers Asiamoney his thoughts for the future of his firm and the region.
