Jerry Lee, managing director and crossover credit trader at J.P. Morgan, has left the firm and is joining Banc of America Securities in a similar role, according to market participants familiar with the move. Lee was between jobs last week and did not respond to messages. However, the bank announced bonuses and paid them last month, which tends to open the door for senior-level personnel moves.
Geoffrey Sherry, co-head of credit trading for North America at Morgan, declined comment. Charley McLendon, head of investment-grade sales and trading at BofA, was traveling and unable to provide more information by press time, said Louise Hennessy, spokeswoman.
