Merrill Lynch's fixed-income research team is putting greater emphasis on inflation-linked securities and has created a new dedicated monthly publication. The firm recently launched the publication, Inflation Strategist, in response to burgeoning investor interest in inflation-linked products due to rising inflation fears and the growth of the global inflation-linked market, said Joseph Shatz, senior government strategist and co-author of the report.
The research piece covers inflation-linked securities and derivatives in the U.S. and Europe and will be expanded to cover similar products from other countries such as the U.K. and Japan. The report will also analyze the commodities markets to come to views on inflation, Shatz said.
