Mark Mothner, agency trader at Banc of America Securities, joins Merrill Lynch later this month in a similar role. Mothner, who worked at Merrill before joining BofA, will trade callable agencies and report to Michael Graf, head of agency trading at Merrill. Mothner had worked at Merrill from 1993 to 2000 in a similar capacity, noted Dan Markaity, manager of global public credit, to whom Graf reports.
At BofA, Mothner reported to J.P. Marra, head of Treasury and agency trading. Marra declined comment and Mothner could not be reached.
