Nomura Securities International has gained a new deputy chief economist. Gerald Zukowski joined the firm last week as deputy chief economist from the Central Intelligence Agency, according to David Resler, chief economist, to whom Zukowski reports. Resler declined further comment and Zukowski's position at the CIA could not be determined by press time.
Zukowski said he had also previously worked as a fixed-income economist at PaineWebber. He replaces Parul Jain, who recently took a leave of absence from Nomura.
