A Credit Suisse First Boston credit and interest-rate strategist has left and will join Banc of America Securities.

A Credit Suisse First Boston credit and interest-rate strategist has left and will join Banc of America Securities. Michael Cloherty was a director in short-duration credit and interest-rate strategy at CSFB and is headed to BofA, according to officials. Robert Ingram, BofA spokesman, declined to say whether Cloherty is joining BofA or provide any additional information.

At CSFB, Cloherty reported to Krishna Memani, managing director and global group head of credit strategy. Memani declined comment and Cloherty could not be reached for comment.

BofA is separating out its desk analysts from its independent researchers and is increasing its fixed-income research head count as a result (BW, 3/28).
