David Barker, managing director of risk management products at UBS in Frankfurt, has resigned after nine years at the firm. He was responsible for marketing equity products in Germany, and market officials credit him with being instrumental in establishing UBS’ business in the country. Barker, who said he has been overwhelmed by interest from competitors and clients, is planning to spend some time with friends and family. “I’m not at an age to retire,” he noted, adding, “I’m regenerating to get ready for the next hotspot.”
Wolfgang Stolz, head of equity derivatives marketing in Europe, did not return calls.
