The Singapore branch of Germany's Landesbank Baden-Württemberg has hired Paul Bennet, quantitative consultant at Ernst & Young in Sydney, as a derivatives quantitative analyst for its structured products desk in the Lion City.

"We are now building the infrastructure including systems, technology and quantitative manpower and will shortly increase our capabilities for interest rate and credit products," said Frank Tsai, head of structured products in Singapore, who joined earlier this year to spearhead a new structured products business for Asia (DW, 4/4).

LBBW is now looking to recruit an interest rate/exotic trader and a relative-value credit trader. Once the core trading and structuring team is in place, the firm will look to add sales staff, likely by July, noted Tsai.
