IXIS Corporate & Investment Bank has hired David Besançon, an exotic equity derivative structurer at Citigroup in London. Besançon, who joins as head of hybrids and funds, said he will be responsible for beefing up this business at IXIS. The group will structure products for both internal and external clients and will cover retail, institutional and high net-worth investors.
At Citi, Besançon reported to Erwin Parviz, director of global hybrid trading in London. Jeremy Hughes, spokesman for Citigroup in London, declined comment.
