SG Corporate and Investment Bank has hired Henry McWatters, executive director in equity flow sales at Goldman Sachs in London, and Javier Martín, equity flow salesman at Citigroup in London, for its flow sales team. At Goldman, McWatters was responsible for U.K. institutional sales and reported to David Ryan, head of equity flow sales. Ryan and McWatters declined comment. An official at the U.S. house said McWatters would be replaced internally. Rebecca Nelson, spokeswoman for Goldman in London, confirmed the departure. Jeremy Hughes, spokesman for Citi, declined comment.
At SG, David Escoffier, head of equity derivatives flow sales in London, declined to comment on whether McWatters or Martín are joining the firm. He confirmed, however, SG is hiring flow sales officials for its European business, which is split between London and Paris.
