Macquarie Bank is preparing to start offering its Australian retail clients contracts for difference on equity. "[CFDs] offer investors a package they can't get with other products," said Greg MacKay, head of equity derivatives at Macquarie in Sydney.
MacKay said the instruments have taken flight over the last 18 months in Australia and retail investors are now well-acquainted with CFDs. The minimum investment will likely range around AUD5-10,000 (USD3.9-7,800).
