ROBERT REOCH
Reoch earned his spurs setting up JPMorgan's credit derivatives group in 1994, which for a long time led the Street in terms of innovation and scale. It is also his regulatory efforts and work to educate investors which earn him DW's Lifetime Achievement award.
He formed independent consultancy Reoch Credit in 2001. It works--among other things--on providing independent models for pricing credit derivatives. He has contributed to International Swaps and Derivatives Association credit committees and was actively involved in the rollout of credit derivatives definitions. He has contributed to several books on the topic, including a chapter in the British Bankers' Association's 1997/1998 credit derivatives survey.
