The Royal Bank of Scotland has hired two staffers in Asia for its credit structuring and collateralized debt obligation team in Hong Kong and Tokyo. Jaeik Oh has come in as senior structurer from Calyon, where he was a structuring director in Tokyo. Mrinal Sharma also joins as a graduate trainee fromICICI Bank. Both will report to Stephen Wong, head of credit derivatives structuring in Hong Kong.
An official at Calyon in Tokyo confirmed Oh's departure and noted he had not yet been replaced. Officials at ICICI bank did not answer calls.
Oh and Sharma were not available for comment. RBS spokeswoman Pholida Phengsomphone in Hong Kong confirmed the appointments and referred requests for additional information to Wong who was on vacation and could not be reached by press time.
