Wesfarmers’ A$2.6bn rights issue for delevering wins strong backing
The A$2.57bn ($2.415bn) rights issue for Australian conglomerate Wesfarmers went off successfully yesterday (Thursday) evening, with 96% of Wesfarmers’ professional investors backing the offer. The few shares that were renounced were bid up to A$37.25, above the theoretical ex-rights price.
