Corporate bonds hope to ride out the storm

European bond bankers clung on to the hope this week that corporate credit markets would remain a safe haven for investors and avoid the worst of the contagion from a spiralling sovereign debt crisis, despite projections that few high grade borrowers would be attempting to raise funding in the next fortnight.
