Michelin aims to sway after springing rights issue surprise

Bookrunners for French tyre manufacturer Michelin’s Eu1.22bn rights issue have acknowledged that the deal took the market by surprise but believe management will be able to convince investors of the soundness of its ambitious growth strategy during roadshows.
