Vallar, a mining investment company partly-run by Nat Rothschild, has agreed a tie-up with Bumi Resources and Berau Coal that will give Indonesia’s Bakrie & Brothers a big stake in a London-listed company — while helping Vallar achieve its goal of becoming a player in the global mining sector.
