Barclays and RBS defiant despite IB losses
With Lloyds having reported a drop in wholesale revenues last week, it was the turn of the three remaining big UK firms to report their third quarter numbers this week. Barclays and RBS reflected tough recent conditions with losses within their investment bank divisions. HSBC said it was in better shape than last year, although it kept its numbers to itself.
