Asia’s bond market has long been a great place for the region’s banks and companies to get senior unsecured funding — but a poor place to get much else. That all changed in 2010 with the arrival of bank capital issues, corporate hybrids, synthetic currency structures and long-dated corporate bond deals. Matthew Thomas reports.
