Financial institution borrowers found opportunities to tap senior unsecured funding this week even in tough secondary markets hit by macroeconomic concerns. Three UK banks — Barclays, HSBC Holdings and Lloyds TSB — tapped euros, as did Spain’s BBVA and Belgium’s KBC.
