CME hopes to simplify sovereign spread plays with new contract

Derivatives market CME Group is introducing cash-settled sovereign yield spread futures contracts (Sovys), with trading to start on May 23. The product, which has been in the pipeline for a year, is an attempt to strengthen CME’s credentials away from dollar markets.
